On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, when people celebrate the end of the Holy month of Ramadan, La Voix du Yémen asked people in the streets of Sana’a what is their favorite aspect of Eid:
Yahya Al-Kohlani – 23 years old
The best thing about Eid is seeing the happiness in the faces of others, because happiness reflects on us.
Ahmed Al-Shahry – 22 years old
The gathering of families, friends and relatives who have been away for a long time.
Awlia Jamal – 7 years old
We visit family, celebrate with guests, and of course receive the Eid money. (note: it is customary for elders to give money to children on Eid day).
Mohammed Taher – 9 years old
The money that my uncles and aunts give me, I get between 6, 7, 8 thousand riyal, depending on the number of people giving money.
Ahsan Abdulla – 12 years old
The new clothes for Eid.

Eating raisins and almonds. I also love giving Eid money to women and kids in my family.
